Hi ,Â
Â
- Now over 370 films in our custom indie film database
- We updated sales numbers where available on the 300 films that were previously in the database. There’s not too much difference from the prior spreadsheet – it’s only been 8 months, and there’s very little new Box Office numbers due to "2020." But, if you haven’t started your film projections yet, you’ll want to start with the newest information.
- We added Documentaries! Yes, thanks to so many of you asking, we added 30+ Documentaries to the spreadsheet. For filmmakers looking to raise independent financing for a Doc, now you can do sales projections the way we’ve always done them for indie narrative films. You can do them on your own with our Film Financial Templates OR you can hire us (and Nash Info Services) to do professional projections for you. Nash has been doing Doc Sales Projections for years and they are
total pros! The Doc films in our database generally fall into three categories: biographical, social issues, and health/self-care/personal fulfillment, so there's plenty from which to choose.
- More lower budget films. We now have over 50 films with budgets of $1M or less. It is notoriously hard for filmmakers to find details on lower budget films, which is exactly why Nash are the pros. It's ALL they do - scour for industry information and work with filmmakers.Â

How to Get the Indie Film Custom Database and/or Professional Financial Projections:
- Indie Film Database - Add our proprietary Indie Film Database and do your own projections in a fraction of the time! Instead of looking up film by film, and
consulting multiple websites and pages to find the numbers you need, just use simple filters on our DB to find all the numbers you need. The Database is included with our Gold Toolkit and all of our Filmmaker Bundles.
- Professional Sales Projections Done FOR You - FilmProposals partners with Nash Info Services, the movie data gurus behind the-numbers.com (who created our Indie Film Database), to do professional movie projections based on comparable films for you. Projections are only included in
our Filmmaker Bundles (Film + Financials or Platinum) or as a separate stand alone service for anyone using another Business Plan or Pitch Deck.Â
Below are examples of the exact reports you'd get with our Sales Projections Service:Â

"A Financing Masterclass For a Fraction of the Price! Five Stars! I have a broad, basic understanding of film financing. I know most of the steps that need to be taken and I know the material that must be present within a film investor package. However, knowledge/theory of what needs to be done and practically executing it are two very different things.
Â
The Film Financing toolkit brings both of those worlds together, you get the theory of how a film investor package works along with the practical execution of the packet. At the price of range, it is by far the most valuable resource I have come across on the internet.
Â
IF you are trying to produce an independent film, spend the money now to be prepared later - unpreparedness can be very costly later on. This should be your number one resource for financing your independent film."
