Hi ,  One of our favorite tips in the article is about setting deadlines for yourself and your production. Business people and companies do this all the time, so it makes perfect sense to do it with your film production. When you set goals and deadlines, things automatically
happen for you. It's just how human nature works. So if you sit down and think through Development, Pre-production, production, post-production, festivals, and sales and outline the steps for each, along with your target dates and investment goals, you'll have it not only for yourself, but for your potential investors. Goal oriented producers succeed far more often than those who are busy emailing strangers asking for money with zero game plan. There's something about a written/typed game plan
that changes human behavior, in a positive way. And there's something about keeping it all in your head and hoping "it will just work out - as long as I keep emailing strangers with nothing tangible" that makes all the difference.  You show people YOUR investment opportunity, and then they have something to consider. If you don't give them something to consider or evaluate - well, then what do you expect them to do? You give someone
nothing, you get nothing back. You give them something, and you'll get something back. What you actually get back is ultimately up to you - if you provide value, you'll receive it in return. If you're out to waste someone's time by writing a few text lines about your great idea, you will be ignored, and you won't get a second chance. Imagine you're at the movies and the screen says "Upcoming Trailer: Tom Cruise Movie 495, #8 in the franchise" and then the screen goes dark for 3 minutes. Are you
