We recently read a great article about how the film Nutcrackers was fully financed. As always, the best way to learn how to fund a film is to learn how other films were funded.

Now, before you shout, "Duh - Of Course Ben Stiller can get a movie funded," there's a lot more to this story. It appears the funding cycle had begun before Stiller was attached, and one of the key take aways here from the producers is that the movie is "illustrative of what makes us very competitive in the landscape of finance now – speed to market and flexibility."
